SINGAPORE shares opened level on Thursday, as Wall Street finished blended overnight: Dow edged to a new record, while both the S&P 500 and Nasdaq completed lower.
The Straits Times Index opened 0.13 for each penny or 4.09 focuses bring down at 3,253.43 focuses. Around 42.8 million offers worth S$58.1 million altogether changed hands.
The most effectively exchanged stock was World Class Global, which appeared exchanging on Catalist on Thursday at S$0.27. As at 9.03am, somewhere in the range of 5.28 million offers had changed hands. Different actives included Blumont and ISDN. Failures dwarfed gainers 98 to 39.
Market drifts in quiet trading ahead of Fed meeting
Benchmark index falls 4.09 points, weighed down mainly by falls in DBS and OCBC.

Turnover stayed worse than average, as it has for a few days now, with 1.9 billion units worth S$976.2 million exchanged. Barring warrants, there were 174 ascents versus 264 falls all throughout.
